TL;DR: ACC Toolbox processes all data locally on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. Your privacy is our priority.
1. Information We Collect
ACC Toolbox is designed with privacy in mind. We do NOT collect or store any personal information on external servers.
Data Stored Locally on Your Device:
- App Preferences: Theme selection, language, default units, haptic feedback settings
- Favorites: Your list of favorite tools
- Calibration Data: Altitude calibration offsets, sensor calibrations
- Saved Measurements: Protractor angles, GPS locations, saved colors (if you choose to save them)
- Onboarding Status: Whether you've completed the first-time setup
All of this data is stored in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device.
2. Sensor & Device Access
ACC Toolbox requests access to various device sensors and features to provide its functionality:
- Camera: Used for Magnifier, Flashlight, AR Ruler, Color Picker, and Star Map tools
- Microphone: Used for Sound Meter, Frequency Analyzer tools
- Location (GPS): Used for GPS, Altimeter, Speedometer, Weather tools, Moon & Tides, Star Map
- Motion Sensors: Accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer for Level, Compass, Protractor, Star Map
- Ambient Sensors: Light sensor, proximity sensor (device diagnostic only)
Important: All sensor data is processed locally on your device in real-time. No sensor data is ever transmitted to external servers.
3. Third-Party Services
ACC Toolbox uses the following external services for specific features:
- Currency Exchange Rates: exchangerate-api.com (anonymous API calls, no personal data sent)
- Weather Data: open-meteo.com (anonymous API calls with GPS coordinates only)
- Tide Data: NOAA API (anonymous API calls with location only)
These services receive only the minimum data necessary (e.g., GPS coordinates for weather) and do not receive any identifying information about you.
4. Advertisements (Free Version)
The free version of ACC Toolbox displays advertisements. Ad providers may collect:
- Device type and operating system
- General location (city/region level, not precise GPS)
- Ad interaction data (clicks, views)
Ad providers have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them if you have concerns. Upgrading to ACC Toolbox Pro removes all advertisements.
5. Data You Can Delete
You have full control over your data:
- Settings → Clear All Data: Deletes all locally stored preferences, favorites, and calibrations
- Browser Settings: You can clear all app data through your browser's settings
- Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes all local data
6. Children's Privacy
ACC Toolbox does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not require any personal information to function.
7. Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device and not transmitted to external servers, the security of your data depends on your device's security. We recommend:
- Keeping your device's operating system updated
- Using device lock screens and passwords
- Only downloading ACC Toolbox from official sources
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of ACC Toolbox after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

ACC Toolbox is built with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). If you're technically inclined, you can inspect the source code to verify our privacy claims. We believe in transparency.
